SI6XES LACROSSE FORMAT

Tournament Requirements

1.1     Players & Teams:  Must register and pay all registration fees to participate in SI6XES Lacrosse.

Teams & players should register into divisions based upon age, gender and playing experience.

Teams that span more than one age group must register in the division of the oldest player on the team.  In the situation where teams place themselves in the wrong division, SI6XES Lacrosse will attempt to rectify the error, but cannot guarantee proper placement. It is each Team’s responsibility to register in the proper division, failure to properly register may result in disqualification from the tournament, and registration fees will not be refunded.

1.2     Use of Long Pole Defenders:  No long poles allowed. 40 inch-42 inch pole length. Except for Goalie.

1.3     Number of Players per Team:  A maximum of 12 and minimum of 9 registered players per Official Team Roster. Players may only be on one team roster and play for one team during play at an Event.

1.4    Official Team Roster:   Each team must complete and submit the Official Team Roster Form 72 hours prior to the start of SI6XES Lacrosse competition.

2.1       Online Proof of Age/Grade Requirement: (See Age & Grade Chart Below) SI6XES Lacrosse requires all players to provide proof of age & grade. Age and Grade Verification is geared to enforce eligibility rules and requirements. Tournament officials have the right to demand a copy of the SI6XES Lacrosse Player Pass for any player included on the roster. Players are required to carry their SI6XES Lacrosse Player Pass with them at all times during play.

  • Black=Elite
  • Red=Competitive
  • Green=Recreation
  • Yellow=Developmental

8.1       Sportsmanship:

We love a good game and sportsmanship! Sportsmanship and the concepts of fair and honorable play are essential to the overall success of the Tournament.

Players, coaches, officials, parents and spectators are to conduct themselves in a manner that “Honors the Game,” and demonstrates respect for others, for the benefit of everyone involved. SI6XES Lacrosse has a zero-tolerance policy for the following actions and they may result in ejection from the tournament at the discretion of the tournament director:

  • Fighting
  • Any player who leaves the sideline, or runs from the opposite end of the field, to participate in an altercation on the field
  • ANY actions deemed excessively unsportsmanlike by a player, coach or fan including but not limited to any discrimination based on gender, religion, race or sexual orientation.

5.1       Fee Policy:   Fees are not transferable from one player to another. Every team is required to register and pay the team entry fee. In the occurrence that SI6XES Lacrosse play is canceled for any reason prior to the official event start date, a refund of team entry fees less deposit will be issued.

Team entry deposits will be credited towards a future event registration.

Cancellation by the team or teams will result in forfeiture of paid for registration fees and deposits.

Individual player SI6XES Lacrosse Membership fees are non-refundable.

There are two competition formats: (1)Festival-type events do not feature a championship format. (2) Championship format play is indicated in the event registration.

6.1       Rankings and Pool Play Seeding: SI6XES Lacrosse Rankings will be used to seed the SI6XES National Festival Event Brackets and Pools’ but Rankings will not necessarily be used to seed the Regional Event Brackets and Pools.

6.2       Championship Bracket Seeding: Championship Bracket seeding for each team will be determined by Win/Loss record. A forfeited game is scored as 6-0 win for the team that is present. Referees and or field staff personnel will report the final score to the Headquarter Tent immediately following the game. 

6.3       Tie-Breakers: When two teams from one Pool are tied in record following Pool Play games, the team that won the game in Head to Head competition will be the higher seed. For teams that are tied in record, if one team forfeited a game, they will automatically be considered the lower seed (unless otherwise decided by a tournament official). When three or more teams from one pool are tied in record following Pool Play games, ties between the three or more teams will be broken by the following:

(1) head to head results between the tied teams

(2) goal  difference in head to head games

(3) goals against in head to head games

(4) goal difference in pool play games

(5) goals against in pool play games

(6) Braveheart

7.1       Weather: SI6XES Lacrosse reserves the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel the competition due to inclement weather. The Competition Director has the right to move or reschedule games, as well as the right to shorten game time. Fees are non-refundable.

Team Entry Requirements - Age & Grade
